2KedarKantha Summit

Schedule Details

Day 1 - Dehradun to Sankri Village (220 kms/6,455 ft.)
  • Arrive at Dehradun and start your journey towards Sankri village
  • Drive along Yamuna and Tons river, with pine forests surrounding your way and enjoy the beauty of nature at its best.
  • After the breezy ride reach Sankri and check-in to the comfortable campsite or Guest house, Enjoy a lip-smacking dinner.
  • Overnight stay at Sankri.
Day 2 - Sankri to Juda ka Talab (3 kms/9,100 ft.)
    • Reach the lake called Juda Ka Talab, where a drop of water dripped from Lord Shiva hair then forming this huge lake.
  • Step out of your camps and witness the starlit sky bedside the frozen lake Overnight stay at Camp.
Day 3 - Juda ka Talab to Base Camp (3 kms/11,250 ft.)
  • Enjoy breakfast at Juda Ka Talab, and head towards Kedarkantha base Immerse yourself in the beauty of snow-lined path and patches of green that surrounds your way..
  • The imposing view of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks of Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag and Ranglana will knock the breath straight out of you Upon reaching the campsite, mark the end of the day with a wonderful dinner and retire to the tents for the night.
  • Overnight stay at the Kedarkantha Base-camp.
Day 4 - Base camp to KedarKantha Summit then descend to Juda Ka Talab (6 kms)
  • After Breakfast get ready for the ultimate adventure.
  • Start early at around 2 am in the morning and it will take anywhere between 4 to 7 hours to get to the summit.
  • You will get to feel the welcoming and filtered sunrays from the mountains of the Yamunotri and Gangotri range and also of Kinnar Kailash ranges.
  • After spending some time at the summit and will start descending and walk all the way down to base camp.
  • Reach the campsite and end the day with a delicious dinner.
Day 5 - Juda ka Talab to Sankri then Drive back to Dehradun (220 kms/6,455 ft. )
  • Enjoy the delicious breakfast at Juda ka Talab.
  • Continue on the trail and admire the views of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas.
  • Arrive at Sankri village and share your trekking stories with your friends over a cup of coffee.
  • Then Drive back to Dehradun.

Things to keep in mind when come
  • No meal is included between the transportation.
  • Any personal expenses, items of personal nature, meals not mentioned, etc. will not be in part of the Kedarkantha trek package.
  • Avoid consumption of alcohol or any other intoxicants during the Kedarkantha Trekking.

  • The Kedarkantha winter trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering.
  • The local sites or campsites, Travelers littering may be fined.
Things to keep in mind before came

There is no ATM service in Sankri village, last ATM available in Purola or Mori, must take enough cash with you.

Only Jio & BSNL network are currently working in Sankri, After Sankri there is no network area during the trek.

  • Back pack 50-60 L (Waterproof is possible/Rain Cover)
  • Head torch (to walk in the dark)
  • Hiking stick (Helps you in snow)
  • Hiking shoes (Waterproof If possible)
  • Rain Coat (Do not compromise)
  • 3-4 pair of socks at least (Warm)
  • Water bottle (Thermal if possible)
  • Waterproof or the wind proof jacket
  • Thermal inners
  • Woollen cap
  • Warm Clothes
  • Waist Bag (Easy to carry your precious things with you)
